If a few of these sound familiar, your child's tummy may be trying to tell you something.
Hard, infrequent or painful poos — or holding on and withholding.
Frequent spit-up, reflux, or a recurring “sore tummy” with no clear cause.
Urgent, frequent or unpredictable stools that disrupt daily life.
A bloated belly, lots of wind, or a very limited diet and low energy.
A child's gut does far more than digest food — it's central to their immune system, mood, sleep and how well they absorb the nutrients a growing body and brain need. So a symptom like constipation, reflux or an unsettled tummy often traces back to something deeper: the balance of gut bacteria, food sensitivities, fibre and fluid, or how their nervous system is coping. Our naturopaths look for those underlying drivers rather than only settling the surface symptom, and build a gentle, personalised plan — part of our wider children's health care, and always alongside your GP or paediatrician.
The first appointment is an unhurried conversation about your child’s digestion, diet, sleep, mood and health history. There’s no rush and no judgement — just a careful look at the whole picture. From there your practitioner builds a simple, practical plan the whole family can follow, with small steps that fit real life.
Where it will genuinely add to the picture, your practitioner may suggest gentle functional testing — such as a gut-microbiome or a food-intolerance test — to understand what’s driving your child’s symptoms. Testing is always optional, kits can be posted to your home, and we explain every result in plain language.

Yes. Our practitioners use gentle, evidence-informed support and always work alongside your child’s GP or paediatrician — never instead of them. If anything needs medical review, we’ll refer back to your doctor.
Childhood constipation is one of the most common reasons families see us. Our practitioners look at fibre, fluids, the gut microbiome, food sensitivities and toileting habits, and may suggest gentle testing — building a plan tailored to your child, alongside your GP.
Reflux and recurring tummy pain can have many drivers — from the gut microbiome and food triggers to how a child’s nervous system handles stress. Our practitioners work to understand the underlying picture rather than only easing the symptom.
Where it helps, we may recommend a gut-microbiome (GI-MAP) or food-intolerance test. Testing is always optional, only suggested when it will add to the picture, and kits can be posted to your home.
Absolutely. Children’s gut and digestive support works well by telehealth — many families across Australia see us this way, with any testing kits posted out.
