Doreen has been a Medical Scientist, Clinical Naturopath and Bowen Therapist for over 36 years, experienced with complex health conditions using an integrative approach.
Doreen graduated with an Applied Science Degree in 1982 from RMIT Applied Science majoring in Haematology. She had extensive experience working in laboratories before completing another 4-year qualification in Naturopathy; also an advanced certificate in Natural Fertility Management and pre-conception health care in 2002 and Diploma of Bowen Therapy in 1989. She also lectures, writes about and mentors other health professionals.
Doreen offers thorough investigations using pathology and functional testing including genetic profiling, methylation, gut microbiome, food sensitivity testing, extensive hormone testing, iridology, and live blood analysis. Genetic variations in methylation pathways can be very important to consider in cardiovascular health, elevated blood pressure, stroke risk, cognitive health, fertility and miscarriage risk.
Doreen’s three main specialities are:
Women’s Health and Natural Fertility Management – correcting hormone imbalances and empowering couples to have healthy babies and overcome fertility challenges including recurrent miscarriage, supporting IVF treatment, and pregnancy care as well as perimenopause/menopausal support.
Weight Management – offering effective and individualised based programs that include addressing the hidden ‘drivers’ of weight gain including stress, gut health, hormonal imbalance, inflammation, toxicity, nutrient deficiencies, and genetic predispositions.
Chronic UTI and Interstitial Cystitis –Doreen has been trained by US specialist Ruth Kriz and looks at the underlying ‘drivers’ behind these complex conditions including MicrogenX and genetic risk factor testing, biofilms, pH levels, nutrition, stress, sleep and diet.
