- 2 1/2 cups raw organic almonds*
- 1 tbsp sunflower seeds
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp extra virgin oil (olive, coconut or grapeseed work well)
- pinch of mineral salt
*Any nuts can be used for this recipe as well as they are fresh and good quality as you’ll need the moisture from the healthy fats in the nuts to make a smooth butter. Brazil nuts, cashews, macadamia, hazelnuts and walnuts (or any combination of them) all work really well.
- In a high powdered blender, add all of the ingredients and blend at top speed for 1-2 minutes or until the mixture is smooth. The mixture can be left a little chunky if that is a more desired consistency, it’s just personal preference.
- Transfer smooth mixture into a sterilised jar, and store in the fridge for 3-4 weeks.
